ذهب بعضهم ان سبب ذلك فساد سيرتهم
This is from a 12th century Christian commentary. With بعضهم referring to مباحث I have ذهب translated as "suggested". "Some studies have suggested that the cause for this was their corrupt lives." Any thoughts?
