French term or phrase: Chef de projet offre
Hi, has anyone come across this job title before please? It is in a list of contact names and job titles in a short announcement from an industrial services company about the winning of a contract. It's a bit difficult to give more context as it is in a list, but I was wondering if it could perhaps be rendered as 'Project manager - bids' or 'Project manager - proposals'. Has anyone come across it before please?

The full list of job titles is:

Commercial
Chef de projet offre
Ingénieur procédés
Ingénieur etudes
Ingénieur realisation

proposal project manager

Explanation:
I don't think this refers to "bids" as they have already submitted a bid containing a proposal and have won the contract.
This person would manage projects within the proposal, or would manage the proposal itself as a project.

Alternatively, it could be the person that manages proposals in general for submission in bids.

Project Manager (Tender Stage)

Explanation:
I think that, in the UK, we would use the term "tender" here, rather than "bid".

Presumably, they only manage the project until the contract is let and then somebody else takes over. So they are really dealing with the business development side of things.

From your context, I would guess that the reason this post appears in the list when the contract has already been won is to credit the person who had the leading role in winning the contract. It would also be useful for prospective clients to be familiar with their name.

On second thoughts, this is perhaps more suitable for the client company project manager, rather than the contractor's project manager.
