Swedish term or phrase: stejlabackar
Here is another seemingly local term from Skåne. In a simple tourist brochure among descriptions of beaches, sightseeing and more, you might find this sentence --

"Borstahusen, ett gammalt fiskeläget med bevarade s.k. *** "stejlabackar" *** och gatt mellan husen"

We are near Landskrona where I have never visited. I only got seven hits on google. The quotes in the sentence are the author's so this does not look like your standard term. Anyone with a background in the local dialect there have an idea? Btw, I think I have gatt, which is another interesting one ... but will not put it out at this time.

In Danish "stejle" is 'fishing net drying stake" and "bakke" can be 'basket work' or 'tray'.
Landskrona is almost as close to Denmark as Helsingborg and Skånska is even closer to Danish!

In Danish "stejle" is 'fishing net drying stake" and "bakke" can be 'basket work' or 'tray'.

Asker: Thanks, for these! I imagined something like this but couldn't find any confirmation. I've been fruitlessly looking for the word.

Asker: Thanks again, Charles, for getting me close. Michael gets the points tho, since he nailed it with the Danish explanation. I've met many Americans (and Danes) who think Danish is like Swedish ... but I beg to disagree!
