This term is found in the context of a technical report on a diesel engine, where the con rods and bearing caps came adrift causing significant internal damage, basically the con rods and big and small ends of one cylinder totally destructed.

I am not certain of the above term though, biela in this context, is connecting rod, so is this a special term or plain con-rod collors?
