If an employer is said to have a high turnover relative to its competitors, it means that employees of that company have a shorter average tenure than those of other companies in the same industry. High turnover may be harmful to a company's productivity if skilled workers are often leaving and the worker population contains a high percentage of novice workers.

agree  Pierluigi Bernardini: direi la seconda, così si rimane sul neutro :) /difatti innanzitutto cosa si intende per "intention" (intenzione, tendenza, obiettivo, ecc.)? e, se trattasi proprio di "intenzione", da parte di chi? dell'azienda o del dipendente?

Ciao, (quasi-)compaesana di cui non conosco il nome. :-) In primis, tutta la mia solidarietà e "Fortza paris!" per quanto accaduto nella tua stupenda Isola, che in parte è anche mia (ci sono anche nato, pur essendo campano per l'altra metà e per residenza, e sono praticamente bilingue), e per quanto, purtroppo, si è verificato anche nella tua bellissima città. Lì sono sbarcato per moltissimi anni, in un passato, per poi proseguire nel cuore dell'interno, quando, ogni estate, con i miei, andavo a trovare i parenti materni. Ora spero che lì da te sia tutto di nuovo abbastanza a posto!

Ora, per tornare alla domanda in questione, se mai, era a te che volevo chiedere dei chiarimenti. Infatti, dal brano non si capisce bene se il termine che hai richiesto sia riferito ai lavoratori o alle aziende. Da un lato sembrerebbe che riguardi i lavoratori, ma dall'altro, sia l'espressione "effects on the organization" sia il fatto che "turnover" è un'azione che ha spesso come soggetto le aziende, sembra indicare queste ultime. Solo tu puoi conoscere il vero soggetto in base al contesto. Se venisse confermata la prima ipotesi, allora è probabilmente più adeguata la soluzione di Simona-Pataflo.

agree  Giusy Comi: Eh si! Mi piace (e userei) avvicendamento ma vedo che spesso viene lasciato in inglese; è uno di quei termini che ormai "fanno parte di noi" e basta! Per quanto riguarda "intention" userei (forse) "concetto".
