Buongiorno a tutti.

Nella panoramica della storia di una famiglia altoatesina, il cui cognome attuale è Laimer, trovo:

Die um die Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts nach Mateil gewanderten Laimer stammen vermutlich von einem ***Laimhof*** ab, am ehesten wohl vom einstigen Gratscher Hof „in der Laimgrueb“. Demnach hätte die Familie also ihren eigentlichen Ursprung in Gratsch.

Non riesco a risalire al significato di "Laim" e, di conseguenza, non riesco a precisare il significato del passaggio.
