No Facebook o termo usado é "unfriend".

I can't unfollow someone:
Log in to Twitter on the web and visit your following list.
Hover over the Following button next to the user you don't want to follow anymore. It will turn red and say Unfollow. Click Unfollow and the user will be removed from your following list.
If it doesn't turn red or click, refresh the page and try again, or click the user's name to visit their profile page and unfollow them there.

Explanation:
We need further context explaining what exactly happens when the user unfollows someone. It occurred to me, since none of the answer seem to fit, that, if the person remains as a friend, but the user just won't see their updates anymore, "esconder" or "cancelar" can work, if it needs to be a command. But that is, of course, if they remain friends.
