listing // horizontal striping / banding Explanation: This is from the Colombian official standard on fabric defects: "2.23 Mareo: variación en la absorción de colorante por las telas." http://tienda.icontec.org/brief/NTC2794.pdf I think this is called "listing": "LISTING Listing refers to a phenomenon in which variations in depth & shade occur on dyed fabric owing to uneven dye uptake from side to side and side to center." http://textilelearner.blogspot.com.es/2013/04/technical-term... (about halfway down) _________________ "Persianas" must also refer to a colour defect, but I haven't found any references to what it actually means in this sense. My suggestion is a guess, based on the fact that "persianas" typically consist of horizontal strips. |
