Dutch term or phrase: deelopdrachthouder
This is a Flemish text for the University of Louvain on their Internationalisation policy. I can find nothing on this term and have not found a workaround.

Any ideas for a workaround or possible translation.

Subcontractor

Explanation:

Explanation:
see: http://www.kuleuven.be/internationaal/beleid/visie-beleid-di...

The 'Beleidsteam Internationalisering' consists of:

1. 'Danny Pieters, vicerector belast met het Internationaliseringsbeleid' = Senior Policy Officer (he can also be called a 'Director of Internationalisation')
2. 'drie deelopdrachthouders' = Policy Officers

P. Coppin (Wetenschap & Technologie): institutionele samenwerking
B. Spitz (Biomedische Wetenschappen): ontwikkelingssamenwerking
P. Schoukens (Humane Wetenschappen): mobiliteit

(http://www.kuleuven.be/internationaal/beleid/visie-beleid-di...

opdrachthouder > chargé de mission > policy officer

IATE has:

inspecteur-opdrachthouder = inspecteur-chargé de mission (Administrative law, EMPLOYMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS)
opdrachthouder voor effectenstudies = chargé d'étude d'incidences (Administrative law, EMPLOYMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS)
bestuursecretaris-opdrachthouder = secrétaire d'administration-chargé de mission (Administrative law, EMPLOYMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS)

***opdrachthouder in het onderwijs = chargé de mission dans l'enseignement (EDUCATION & COMMUNICATIONS)***

If I then look up 'chargé de mission' in IATE, I get:

chargé de mission junior = junior policy officer = junior beleidsmedewerker (Administrative law)
chargé de mission juridique = legal policy officer = juridisch beleidsmedewerker

***chargé de mission = policy officer (Administrative law)***

disagree  Wiard Sterk: Could or could not be. I think this is too specific to a governmental and policy context, not an academic one.

-> You might be right. I always tend to think government stuff (and bureaucracy) when I hear Belgian. However, having just found the English PDF I mentioned above (http://www.kuleuven.be/international/internationalisation.pd... I have changed my mind.

On further reflection, a Rector seems to be similar to a Dean in the UK, so Assistant or Associate Dean would come closest.
