Medical - Medical: Pharmaceuticals / Regulatory certificates
German term or phrase: pro vitro
I realise this term is Latin, not German, but I am addressing this to the German-English language pair because the term occurs in a German-language document - actually a Swissmedic authorisation certificate.

"Injektionspräparat
Praeparatio sicca:

Thanks for your suggestions.

disagree  Cetacea: "pro" means "for" rather than "per". You often get the phrase "pro vitro" without any amounts, just to indicate that whatever substance it is, it can't be used as is, but must be mixed with some solvent first.

-> pro- also means apiece, but if this is specific to Swiss German, and not Latin per se, then I bow out awkwardly.
