This activity allows the children to explore the power of wind by making a windmill.
Fold the sheet of paper diagonally both ways and then unfold. Repeat from the other corner.
Cut half way along each folded line.
Fold each of the corners into the centre and glue in place, taking care to ensure the folds are curved, not flat.
Use a pencil to punch a small hole through the centre and push a spilt pin through the hole.
Bend the back of the split pin as shown in the illustration and push the ends inside the narrower straw, securing it in position with a piece of sticky tape.
