Swedish term or phrase: Sparkbil
A toy vehicle for very young children. Often made to look like cars, fire engines, horses, aeroplanes etc, but without pedals. The rider propels the vehicle directly by pushing against the ground with his feet.

"Kick-car" did not produce enough relevant Google hits to be convincing, but perhaps someone else knows better.

Seems to be what they are called. Brings back a lot of memories of my little brother's Tonka Truck fire engine!

Thank you. I am going to go with this. Strange that it should be so hard to find the term given such toys have existed for a very long time. All the best.

foot to floor car

Explanation:
Another common way of describing these toys, especially if a distinction is being made between push-powered ride ons and pedal-powered ride ons.

agree  Christopher Schröder: Lots of hits but I've never heard it. I'd instinctively call it a push-along or foot-propelled car FWIW.

-> Thanks, Chris. Foot-propelled car is also good (I now can't get the image of Fred Flintstone's car out of my head)
