to think it's an "operating account"? "temporary account", "profit and loss account", "income statement" are NOT synonyms for "operating account."? I find that many glossaries are to be handled with gloves, if not barge-poles. It's all nice to list various meanings of one term, but often there's not much to help you decide which one is the relevant one, nor any context to really understand the term, and almost never any example of proper use of the term in a real-life sentence. There are exceptions, but not so many. End of rant.
Pour revenir à nos moutons, ""En cas de fonds insuffisant sur le Compte de résultat ..." confirms my first impression. This manager is to be paid from operating profit; there's nothing quirky about "le compte de resultat" - it shows the operating profit for a given period and this manager is supposed to pay himself from that account i.e. from the operating profit. If there's not enough profit to cover the management fee (regardless of income and of cash in the coffers or the bank account), the owner of the business has to chip in.
Here "le compte de résultat" is simply the profit and loss account; account as in accounting of course.

Thanks, it confirms my suspicion. I think it is frequently the case in Francophone Africa to see "quirky" use of the language, that you might not see in the Hexagone.

Yes, I think your supposition is correct. "Paid from income" in your main example, and "If there is insufficient income" in your second one. Or you could say profits instead of income.
