lifting bar Explanation: http://www.norelem.fr/App/WebObjects/XSeMIPSNORELEMFR.woa/cm... Hope this suits -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 33 mins (2013-08-28 19:24:53 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- bar or pin. pin a bit small for lifting 300 tonne but translation 'clevis' confirms 'pin' or bar. |

clevis yoke Explanation: * -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 19 heures (2013-08-29 14:49:41 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- and broche = pin -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 20 heures (2013-08-29 15:01:03 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- NB: A bolt can function as a clevis pin, but a bolt is not intended to take the lateral stress that a clevis pin must handle. Normal bolts are manufactured to handled tension loads, whereas clevis pins and bolts are designed to withstand shearing forces. Wiki |

lifting ring or lifting eye or handling ring/eye Explanation: "exemple chappe de manutention usinée directement dans les semelles" "3- Uniquement les outils progressifs 160t sont dispensés de chapes , les 315t et plus seront obligatoirement équipés de chapes et broches de manutention standard : 4 chapes sur partie inférieure, 4 sur partie supérieure avec broches. 4- Les outils doivent impérativement êtres équipés de broches de manutention standard suivant NFE 63 - 132 Example: lifting ring (or eyes - see "pillow block") machined directly into the reference plates (the term may be tooling base plates). Only progressive tools (dies) 160t shall not require lifting eyes. The 315t and above must be equipped with standard handling eyes (rings) and shafts: 4 eyes on the lower part, 4 on the upper part with shafts (or pins). The toolings must be equipped with standard handling shafts according to NFE ... This is quite complex terminology. As I mentioned before, it would be best to download the manual in English for a similar machine used in the UK or USA market, to learn the terms used there. My terms would yield a clear understanding, subject to the context of the machine, but not necessarily the common terminology in the machine shop. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 days13 hrs (2013-09-01 08:23:32 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This is vocabulary used by tooling designers and by the machine set up technician (not the press operator) in the factory. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 days15 hrs (2013-09-01 10:08:13 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This may be helpful. Some parts are labelled. The diagram is of tooling that would go into a press. http://www.globalspec.com/reference/63581/203279/chapter-3-m... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 7 days (2013-09-05 16:59:37 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Yes, it is exactly a flange. I couldn't think of that at the time. |
