English term or phrase: factor in the slow start of the gate
Simplesmente não sei como traduzir a frase "factor in the slow start of the gate". Alguém sabe? Eis o parágrafo:

In The Seven Arts of Change, author David Shaner offers an
illustration of this advantage from his experience as a worldclass
downhill skier in the early 1970s. He explains that even
when you factor in the slow start of the gate, in World Cup
races you easily average over 60 mph. “Up to about 45 mph,
you feel in control,” he writes. “Above that speed, a new feeling
arises.”

Explanation:

Notes to answerer
Tks!
