regional or even local product knowledge tests Explanation: I think knowledge about the product perhaps better than 'awareness' in this context, local rather than regional. Now that I've written 'local' not sure whether 'regional is not better'. Depend whether these are national trials or more local. |

on-farm trials Explanation: 'Field trials' is probably too vast, if you have other types of trials in your document, and besides, field trials are often associated with GM crops. I've had a look at your links and I think this sounds like 'on-farm trials'. I found a document that mentions "essais d'homologation" alongside the term you're researching, so there is a difference between the two types of trial: http://www.anses.fr/fr/documents/DPR-Ft-NoteInformationsPeti... You can google "on-farm trials" and crop protection. I have done so and here are a few links: http://teca.fao.org/sites/default/files/technology_files/R74... http://www.pure-ipm.eu/cropsys/expersites/34/32 http://agritech.tnau.ac.in/kvk/flt/flt-dindigul.pdf http://farmindustrynews.com/corn-hybrids/monsanto-tests-drou... http://www.reading.ac.uk/ssc/n/resources/Docs/GPCS3 - On-far... https://www.pioneer.com/home/site/us/agronomy/library/templa... Hope this helps. They're sometimes called 'strip trials', but I don't think this is right in your context. |

screening trials Explanation: Before becoming a translator I was a senior research specialist in agriculture (entomology) and I designed and carried out many of these trials in cooperation with chemical companies. On-farm trials is a very good suggestion but we usually used that term specifically for such trials conducted in growers' or farmers' fields as opposed to trials conducted on agricultural research stations. Screening trials is a broader term. We "screened" the product or products of whatever company against other products on the market to see how they performed against a given pest, disease, weed, etc. on a given crop in a given region. The term also applies to trials with different crop varieties, cultivars, seeds, etc., as well. Although I've occasionally heard "field trials" too, to most US readers that suggests events with bird dogs or hunting dogs. "Efficacy trials" would be another option. local field trials Explanation: Local field trials contractors, Agricultural Trials Services, conduct and monitor the trials to accepted trials methods and deliver RSPB standard bird and vegetation surveys for the site. http://www.agro.basf.com/agr/AP-Internet/en/function/convers... |
