I wonder how others interpret the word слушали as used in the sentence below, taken from a 1922 article in Известия.

Радиоконцерт слушали все приемные и приемно-передающие радиостанции республики.

(The radio stations ... received / heard / listened to [surely not!] the concert. ?? )
