always better to use verbs in EN (см.) Explanation: Один опытнейший переводчик и мудрейший преподаватель, к яркой личности которого мне посчастливилось прикоснуться, советовал – при переводе с РЯ на АЯ – находить «хороший глагол, который вытащит всю фразу». Тем более если в АЯ трудно найти существительное, адекватно передающее смысл существительного, употребленного в источнике на РЯ. Попробуем? Вот что получается в нашем случае с загадочным «посылом»: ХХХ … sees this dream team, talks to them, and guides them / points them in the right direction / nudges them in the right direction. However, if you MUST use nouns, then you may consider going with these options: … gives them prompts … gives them cues .. provides them guidance. Hope my "посыл" helps. :) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2013-08-16 10:50:49 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- A few more ideas: “Tips” may also work here, as in “business tips,” “management tips” or “leadership tips.” “Leads” as a noun has a narrow meaning in marketing, but may also be used figuratively. The sky’s the limit! ;) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2013-08-16 12:11:31 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- And some more options: XXX … gives them some coaching / policy guidance / corporate narratives (последнее слово такое же загадочное, как и «посыл», так что по этому критерию оно точно подходит). -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day12 hrs (2013-08-17 20:58:27 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- ... gives them what the military call a "MSEL" (see my recent discussion post) |
