Cari Colleghi,

come si può tradurre questo termine?

"Transit Visa Requirements for passengers travelling to Mexico, the Caribbean & Canada via US Gateway Cities".

Penso si tratti degli aeroporti degli USA in cui si fa scalo per raggiungere altre destinazioni, tipo Messico etc.
In rete ho trovato diverse opzioni, come "città-porta" o "città d'accesso"... qual'è il più usato secondo voi?

Explanation:
io preferisco questo termine, l'uso è vari, almeno in rete. Lo metterei tra virgolette, qualsiasi termine tu usi, non è così diffuso come in inglese.

Sono le "città-portone", termine coniato per evidenziare la loro propensione all’accoglienza. Sulle loro spalle ci sono il peso e le opportunità dei flussi di entrata: da gestire con lungimiranza e possibilmente coinvolgendo nelle politiche urbane anche le comunità più disagiate.
