No tengo claro si el término hace referencia a "los momentos de dificultad económica" (recesión) o a "los tiempos de reducción en la producción".

Cycle may refer to any business process, such as development, production, sales... I wouldn't try to specify that, especially since you can say only "ciclos" and it will be understood.

Some of those same organizations are lucky to get through the existing year without significant changes to their plans. The entire cycle time of identifying a business opportunity, creating the offering and bringing it to market continues to shrink. Twenty years ago, big multinationals were the envy of everyone. Now, some envy the speed at which small, nimble organizations can attack a business opportunity, and the larger ones are trying to mimic the smaller ones’ agility.
