English term or phrase: Why have your forsaken us?
Pretty straightforward if you already know Polish. I have a writer writing a novel in English that features a Polish-born priest who at one point wants to say this in his own language. I suppose he is paraphrasing Jesus Christ.

Polish translation:czemuś nas opuścił?
Explanation:

The words are a reference to Psalm 22.2, Matthew 27.46 and Mark 15.34, where the standard Catholic and Protestant translations in each case read: czemuś mnie opuścił? (Why hast thou forsaken me?). You need to use "nas" (us) instead of "mnie" (me).
