That's what they are normally called. You don't want to call it a "vendor" as a general case because a vendor may simply be an independent reseller, whether authorized or not. I should know - I used to be one.

Исходя из моей практики, в подавляющем числе случаев в текстах различных договоров в смысле "производитель" использовалось слово "vendor".

Возможно, следует посмотреть на более широкий контекст и решить для себя кто же этот производитель: publisher, vendor или maker.
