The contractor (packagers, Vendors) shall comply with Law 11/1997, of April 24, on Packaging and Packaging Waste and the Regulations implementing it (approved by Royal Decree 782/1998, of April 30) being legally responsible for the packaged goods imported or acquired in other member countries of the European Union, and therefore, must:
- Adhere to an Integrated Management System (IMS) for packaging and packaging waste through Ecoembes
- Declare the packaging and make the appropriate contribution of Green Point to fund the separate collection of packaging waste for recovery and recycling.
In the event that the supplier is a foreign company, it must adhere voluntarily on behalf of its Spanish clients, providing annual declarations on packaging and pay the corresponding tax.

"Zielony Punkt" (w Niemczech "der Grüne Punkt") to system rozliczania opłat za recykling i inne formy utylizacji odpadów. Nie wiem dokładnie jak to działa, jakoś tak, że kupując dany produkt, w jego cenie zawarta jest składka na "Zielony Punkt" (produkty są też odpowiednio oznakowane). Składki są zbierane do centralnej puli i później na podstawie jakiegoś algorytmu przekazywane firmom/organizacjom organizującym segregowanie u źródła/transport i dalsze segregowanie w odpowiednich centrach segregacyjnych oraz - w razie możliwości - recykling odzyskanych w ten sposób surowców wtórnych. Także zostawiłbym w cudzysłowie "Zielony Punkt" - fachowiec z branży będzie wiedział, o co chodzi. Z tego co wiem, chodzi głównie o odpady opakowaniowe, ale tu nie mam pewności na 100 procent, trzeba by poczytać w sieci, jak "Zielony Punkt" działa w praktyce. O właśnie znalazłem taką stronę, wynika z niej, że system wywodzi się z Niemiec i działa mniej więcej tak, jak opisałem: http://www.rekopol.pl/zielony_punkt/zielony_punkt
