disagree  papier: começar no início é pleonasmo, se for certo seu raciocínio (depende da frase toda para se poder ter certeza, acho)seria outra a redação em português./Da tradução. Em inglês, seria "o início da primeira fase". Esta tem meio e fim e seria só a primeira.
