Does anyone know if this is a set phrase in Spanish - it comes up a lot on a google search - and if so, can anyone suggest a good way of translating it rather than the obvious? Alliteration would be good.

I think that the whole phrase needs to be reformulated in this way in order to sound natural in English.

"Cheap and cheerful" would seem to work for hotel accommodations rather than products, and is not commonly used in US English.
