French term or phrase: Sur notre plateau
Here's another Haiku.

Can anyone help me work out how to translate "plateau" here please? What could it possibly mean? I just can't make any sense of it.

Sur notre plateau
La parité est
Conviviale et solidaire.

Thank you!

Notes to answerer
Asker: Sorry, jmleger, but this is the only poem by this author, and the ones that come before and after it in my list don't seem to be related to it at all.

neutral  philgoddard: Why this rather than any other meaning? And poems don't have context.

-> I meant peripheral context. You just don't spew words like that at random, and call it poetry.

Peer comments on this answer (and responses from the answerer)
neutral  philgoddard: This looks convincing given that a lot of these haikus seem to be about work. But do you have any references? I haven't come across this meaning before.

Explanation:
I choose to imagine a tray, like a breakfast tray, and the word "conviviale" makes me think of sharing something, like food.

On our floor

Explanation:
In an open-plan office one does tend to relate to people working on the same floor who see and hear each other every day, share tea-making facilities, queue for the same lift etc.

Plateau, in construction/architecture is a floor slab.
