This acronym has already appeared on proz in relation to banking and finance, however I doubt that "digito de auto-conferencia" [check digit] is correct in this instance.
My text is a bank statement from Brazil, and the acronym "DAC" appears as follows:
DAC - CARTAO CRED. and DAC-PEDAGIO.
The figure next to the credit card entry is a large minus figure.
I think that the most likely meaning is "Declaração de Atividades do Contribuinte," but I'm not 100% sure that this would appear on a bank statement.
I would be very grateful for any help and suggestions.
