German term or phrase: Aa vert bds in v2 orthograd
This is a sentence in the report of the Colour doppler sonography of the extracranial vessels supplying to the brain:

ACC, ACI and ACE (these are of course the arteries) bds mit regelrechtem Flußprofil und normaler Vmax. Aa vert bds in v2 orthograd durchströmt mit normaler Vmax.

As far as my understanding goes Aa is the ascending aorta, but what does vert mean?

Thanks in advance for some quick help

unremarkable (antegrade) flow (profile) in V2 (segments) of both vertebral arteries
Explanation:
*Aa*: does not (!) refer to 'ascending aorta' but is the Latin abbreviation of 'Arteri*ae*, i.e. the plural of 'artery'.

*vert*: stands for 'Arteria vertebralis/vertebral artery'. Thus *Aa vert* denotes both vertebral arteries (either side).

*orthograd*: means that there is no flow reversal and that flow direction is normal/antegrade.

*V2*: is one of the anatomical segments of the vertebral artery.
