read, acknowledged and signed Explanation: This is just a guess because I can't find anything to confirm that g.w.u. stands for "gelesen, wahrgenommen, unterschrieben." I suppose it's a stretch even to translate "wahrgenommen" as "acknowledged." Both officers testified that the waiver form for the April 11 interview was read, acknowledged, and signed by appellant and by both of them in the same manner as described for the April 10 recorded statement. http://www.leagle.com/xmlResult.aspx?page=7&xmldoc=199616529... |

geschehen wie unten [lit. it took place as described below] Explanation: You would normally expect to see g.w.o. - geschehen wie oben under the circumstances you describe. Could it be that in your case some sort of report follows rather than precedes the signature? Here is one of the better explanations I could find for the use of v.g.u. and g.w.o.: Am Schlusse wird angedeutet, dass der Inhalt vorgelesen und genehmigt worden ist, worauf die Unterschrift aller Eingangs erwähnten Personen folgt; die übliche Form ist etwa: „Vorgelesen, genehmigt und unterschrieben (v. g. u.) |
