What I could not understand is how you can say "normally" about something I have not come across even once. What have I been missing? As for our respective ages, I was a toddler in the early 1950s but I note there are gaps in your CV around that period.

Whilst you are undoubtedly correct in the translation, a whisp of modesty is called for.
