Explanation:
CC refers to "contrôle continu," where grades are based on ongoing testing/assignments throughout the year instead of being determined 100% by a final exam at the end of the course. The English equivalent is "continuous assessment."

As for abbreviations, I've seen both CA (Continuous Assessment) and CATs (Continuous Assessment Tests).
