Context:

The new analyses use a likelihood-based estimation method to utilize all available data, including
subjects with missing value. It accounts for the repeated measures structure in the data by adding the
“visit” and “visit by treatment” interaction on top of the original model (i.e., treatment, region, and
diabetes status as factors and baseline msSBP as covariate).

The primary assessment from this study was made by calculating the difference in the average score obtained at Baseline with scores at Weeks 1, 4, 8, 16, and 20. Scores were adjusted for baseline IRLS total score, treatment group, visit, visit by treatment group interaction, and center group.
