depends Explanation: Suggestion : For the sentence you have given by way of example, I think the fact that "le jeu" appears at the beginning means that you can express the sentence in such a way that "ludique" can be considered as included. "Play is an occupation apart and must remain within defined limits." I know this suggestion seems to ignore "existence" but to add "in life" or "in one's existence" seems to make so much of it, seems so unnatural in English, I'd drop it altogether. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 29 mins (2013-04-17 09:48:06 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- If you feel you ought to develop the idea of existence, then "Throughout life, play is an occupation apart ..." |
