This is in a pharmaceutical SOP and concerns the MA holder. The sentence is "Elle doit en outre informer l'Agence de tout risque de rupture de stock ou de toute rupture sur un médicament ou produit sans alternative thérapeutique disponible, dont elle assure l'exploitation" and I'm having problems with the "dont elle assure l'exploitation" as the elle refers to the pharmaceutical company, ie the license holder (company marketing the product).

I would change the word order to make this "It must in addition inform the Agency of any stockout risk or any stockout that occurs on a medicine or product which it markets for which no alternative treatment exists."

Usually in pharmaceuticals, a product or medicine is referred to as being 'marketed'. Usually pharmaceutical companies need to apply in Europe for a document called an MMA (Marketing Authorization Application).

I therefore think that it's fair to use 'marketing' for 'exploitation' in this case.
