While one might think so for piping, where the flow of water etc. will be directional, I don't think to for electricity, where the notion isn't quite the same. I'd expect to see that expressed by ideas like incoming / outgoing etc.
If you start from the principle of 'on machine' simply means 'fitted on the machine', then it all make sense.
It's natural enough that the 'off machine' stuff wouldn't be supplied, but the more important exclusion here that actually needs stating explicitly is any of the 'on machine' stuff — there could be a grey area: "Is that part of the machine, or part of the installation?" |
