assess or predict a situation and act accordingly Explanation: I am using the Danish version "tage højde for" which means: vurdere eller forudse en situation og handle derefter, ofte for at forhindre en ugunstig udvikling. From http://ordnet.dk/ddo/ordbog?entry_id=11022325&query=tage -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr (2013-03-28 11:06:17 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- But I think Norskpro is right, 'take into consideration' is a good way of putting it. |

I found this article interesting: http://www.svd.se/kultur/sprakspalt/fackuttryck-blir-vardags... |

extra margin of safety Explanation: I'd say what you are doing here is taking your margin of safety and adding some (undefined) extra -- 'just to be on the safe side'. Here is some reading for starters, but there is more of course http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margin_of_safety_(financial) Good luck! |
