given consecutive numbers Explanation: The "durch" element suggest consecutive, as does "fortlaufend". You could use "were not numbered conseutively" as an alternative. I would then leave out the secondary explanation/paraphrasing following "d.h." or, if you feel you must keep it then "i.e. participants were not allotted running serial numbers" or similar. Hope that helps or provides dome ideas at least. |
