Я тоже сначала подумала про промоутера, но у меня эта должность ассоциируется с бедными студентами, подрабатывающими раздачей листовок или пробников, но это сугубо личное, решать Вам

Окончательный выбор был сделан после перевода следующего предложения:

It is agreed that no party will commit the other party to expenditure without prior written agreement and that all expenditure incurred by way of advertising, promotion, printing, telephone and all other costs in connection with the business will be the sole responsibility of the Introducer and the Introducer hereby indemnifies the Company or Developer in respect of all costs, expenses, and liabilities in regard there to.

Я бы перевел либо как "ознакомитель", либо как "интродуктор", либо как "агент ознакомления". Явно речь об агенте (комиссионере), действующем по поручению принципала, задача которого - ознакомить потенциальных клиентов потенциального рынка с новым товаром.

В текстах на русском не встречал названия такого вида деятельности.

P.S. Я знаю, что слова "ознакомитель" в русском языке нет. Но оно хорошо отражает смысл этой деятельности.

Asker: Спасибо. А я уже сменил "коммивояжера" на "промоутера". В тексте слишком много "агентов", и добавление еще одного будет перебором. Но ваш ответ подтверждает правильность хода мысли.

Andrei Mazurin: Да, я бы тоже так перевел. А почему про "интродусера" забыли, коллега? :-) По аналогии с "дистрибутором".

-> :))) Вот не додумался. :) Впрочем, интродусер может появиться вслед за интродьюсером, как дистрибутор за дистрибьютором (или так мне показалось). Спасибо, коллега.
