Sto traducendo la pagina web di un produttore di letti e telai per letti in stile celtico. Tra i vari modelli compare "low end bed". Ecco alcuni esempi:

Explanation:
le immagini su Google mostrano tutti letti con cornice, ma senza rialzo nella parte dei piedi. Quindi credo che la mia soluzione possa andare.

suona strano qui è che la fine, una, del letto sia la pediera e non la testata come altre immagini di letto testimoniano.
In ogni caso di certo l'unica variante nei letti "celtic low end" illustrati è la pediera più bassa rispetto alla versione completa dello stesso letto

Ciao! non sono un'esperta di arredamento e quindi perdonatemi se dico cavolate..
Mentre leggevo gli interventi di Claudia all'interno delle risposte di Mery e Laura, mi domandavo se un letto con "testiera e pediera basse" dovesse necessariamente avere anche un "telaio ribassato"...
Mentre cercavo delle immagini, ho visto che anche nei "low end bed" c'è spazio per mettere scatole e altro sotto il letto...
non vorrei che "telaio ribassato" scoraggiasse chi è a caccia di spazio aggiuntivo...

A essere sincera le due foto sembrano confermare ancora di più la traduzione "letto senza pediera" o "letto con pediera ribassata". In entrambe infatti la testata sembra identica, cambia solo la pediera.

se queste sono le immagini a cui DEVI far riferimento, direi di no: è sicuramente diversa la pediera che comunque esiste nei due tipi di letto in uno ben visibile e imponente, nell'altro limitata a due "gambe" più o meno alte.

Cara Laura, non credo di riferisca a qualcosa di economico, credo che piuttosto sia qualcosa relativo alla dimensioni del letto. Nei frammenti di testo che ho presentato come esempi, si parla di "due to their need for less space" e "without taking up too much space"...

Controllando sui vari dizionari monolingue "low end" ha anche un'accezione di tipo economico: cioè un low end bed potrebbe essere un letto di fascia economica bassa. Controllate la definizione a questo link e fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/british/low-end

Asker: Grazie per il suggerimento Laura! Quello che mi rende perplessa è che dal testo sembra invece che la pediera ci sia eccome. Leggi un po' quest'altra parte del testo che sto traducendo: "The Gothic White Low End bed belongs in a contemporary setting. The Gothic Headboard carries all the Gothic features one would imagine – pointed arches, tied knot castings and steeple shaped knobs. ***The footboard has been lowered*** to accommodate customer requests for a product that uses a little less space without losing its character. In order to make our product safer for young children, ***we removed the points from the steeple shaped knobs on the footboard***."

Asker: Cara Laura, così come ho già detto alla nostra collega Mary, il problema è che dal testo deduco che anche la testata è bassa, e "letto con testiera e pediera basse" non mi piace proprio come resa. Per questo avevo pensato a "letto ribassato" o "letto con telaio basso/ribassato", fermo restando che con la parola "telaio" intendo l'intera struttura in metallo (in questo caso) che sostiene il letto e il materasso, vale a dire l'inseme di testiera, pediera, gambe del letto e compartimento per il materasso...

Hai ragione Claudia! Allora forse potresti dire "con pediera bassa". Secondo la pediera è una struttura che in un letto c'è sempre, ma in questo caso diciamo che non sporge al di sopra del letto.
Qui ad esempio, le dimensioni del letto sono inferiori nella versione senza pediera:

Capito. Alla fine, come diceva una grande traduttrice spagnola che ho conosciuto, "la imagen manda", quindi l'importante è che non sia in contraddizione con l'eventuale foto! :)
