Italian to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Energy / Power Generation / gas compressors
Italian term or phrase: packagizzazione
within the scope of gas compressor design. The text says

"poiche' queste unita' sono ubicate in zone desertiche o comunque lontane da zone industriali, ne consegue che una caratteristica particolarmente richiesta per questi gruppi e' quella della "packagizzazione"
Le macchine cioe' debbono essere autosufficienti, facili da trasportare e da istallare (gruppi package), debbono inoltre richiedere una manutenzione minima e consentire il comando a distanza.

I am debating on the most appropriate translation of this; "bundling" or "packaging" or "stand alone" all seem close enough but not right on. Any ideas? Which do you feel may better capture the "italianish"?

Thanks in advance for your help

designing/consigning the unit as a (particular) package (of features/options)
Explanation:
designing the unit as a particular "package "

I don't find it hillarious, but rather difficult. And it has nothing whatsoever to do with "packaging". It's not wrapping it up we are talking about, but a set of features allowing for self-sufficiency/durability (actually, the packaging for transportation is one of them).

For example, in a different market context, it's aking to a car sold as "a package of features/options". They even say "a package includes bucket seats, ABS, ABC, touch-screen navigator, blah, blah"

neutral  Tom in London: since you're correcting some, but not all of your typos: it's "hilarious" not "hillarious".
