Another possible translation could be: We should not be misled and follow the own fraudulous paths of X's party -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2013-03-04 15:19:44 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I'm a native French speaker and do accept that my English may sound strange or even incorrect, this was just a suggestion as to the meaning of this sentence. I'm a bit puzzled by "turpitude" - The French Robert dictionary of synonyms lists for this word: crime or corruption but also lust and depravation and I must say this is the concept that first came to my mind when faced with this word, I suspect the use of this word may be inappropriate in the French text. Anyway, to me, the meaning is: We (as people examining the case, trying to settle the dispute), should not use the party's methods based on dishonesty to say the least, and should stay clear from such manners, ie. not be corrupted ourselves.
