to make profitable investments
Explanation:
It's quite simple ;-) You make investments to make profit, otherwise, it makes no sense to invest... Something like "XXX was established in June 2011 with a view of making profitable investments in corporate equity under co-investing principles, primarily in Russia.

для осуществления доходных инвестиций
to generate income by investment

Explanation:
Not as simple. "profitable" wouldn't cut it as nobody would claim they are going to make an unprofitable investment, hence "profitable" in "we'are going to make a profitable investment" would be redundant.

neutral  The Misha: Technically, this would be incorrect in most cases where an investor would, hopefully, have capital gains rather than icome. If you want income, i.e. payout on funds loaned, you buy bonds, etc., not equity.
16 mins
-> "доходных" stems from "доход" and capital gains may refer to investment income. // They are going to make money by investment—that's what the original says.

neutral  Susan Welsh: How do you differentiate this from what others already suggested? Lucrative or remunerative = profitable. Same thing.
40 mins
-> A bit profitable (investment) is not considered as lucrative or remunerative because it may not meet a sizeable amount that investor might expect to gain. The difference is the sizeable amount of lucrative or remunerative investments vs just profitable.

neutral  The Misha: How about unfriggingbelievable investments? This is totally off key.
1 hr
-> The criteria are the sizeable amount of the Return on Investment (ROI) that can satisfy the investor or not.
