The position of the temperature/temperature pressure relief valve or valves shall be as stated in BS EN 12897 clause A6 for indirect and Annex B for direct unvented hot water storage cylinders to ensure that the following requirements are complied with:
1. that the discharge capacity of the valve shall comply with either clause BS EN 1390 clause 6.4 **Water discharge test** (indirect unvented hot water storage cylinders) and 6.5 steam discharge test (direct unvented hot water storage cylinders)).
2. Taht the position of the temperature/temperature and pressure relief valve shall ensure that the temperature withing the vessel at no time exceeds 100°C.
