Bus/Financial - Business/Commerce (general) / código de conducta
English term or phrase: Vendor employee
Hola colegas, estoy traduciendo un código de conducta de una empresa y nombra a los "Vendor employee(s)", que no se exactamente bien a lo que se refiere.

The standards of conduct embodied in the Code are based upon the following core principles by which Cree operates their business and expects all vendor employees to observe:

Vendor employees are expected to review and comply with the Code.

The *** VMS program will ask all new vendor employees to sign an acknowledgement of receipt of the Code and commitment to comply with it.

Reference information:
Vendor es un tipo de empleado.
Outside Vendor: An organization or person ("vendor") providing professional services or organizational development (PDF). A vendor independently directs all individuals involved in the project.[1],[2]
Procurement handles contracts for professional services to deliver expertise on a non-internal matter: a marketing proposal, custom programming, or construction oversight. This vendor controls the result of work.[3]
Business Contracts Office (BCO) has provided for the occasional needs in organizational development: analysis of internal work process or business strategy. This vendor controls work result and manner.[4]
Contract Employee: An individual hired and supervised as an employee to provide services under a contract for a specific time period normally no longer than three years.

I am pretty close in a getting position working at/with Microsoft. The lady I interviewed with has to just get the official thumbs up in the next month or two (and in these tough times I wouldn't be surprised if this did not end up happening).

More specifically I will be a vendor employee (which is not the same as a contract employee). I'm not a engineer or anything like that my work experience is in business, thus will be working in the business arena of things.

I've done some reseach on my own and was informed about the different limitations and boundaries a vendor employee may have such as not being able to participate in all regular MS employee non-work related activities (no big deal, I'm sure I'll get over that rather quickly). I've also picked up on a lot of rather immature, high school, clicky vibes between the different types of employees ("official" employees, vendor, and contract).
