English term or phrase: rollback

Sto traducendo una serie di procedure aziendali relative al sistema di gestione per la qualità di un'azienda farmaceutica. Il sistema è supportato da un software aziendale il quale gestisce l'intero processo, nello specifico sto traducendo la parte relativa alla gestione delle modifiche.
L'azienda deve esercitare uno stretto controllo su tutte le modifiche che avvengono non solo al suo interno (ad es. modifica di un'attrezzatura o di un processo, modifica delle condizioni ambientali delle stanze di processo, etc.) ma anche all'esterno (ad es. il fornitore di materie prime varia l'imballaggio, l'indirizzo, viene pubblicato un aggiornamento normativo, etc.).

Trovo il termine rollback anche in forma di aggettivo (rolled back) e di verbo (will roll back) e non riesco a comprendere cosa significhi. Le altre kudoz non mi sembrano pertinenti al mio caso.
Di seguito qualche esempio:
