Medical - Medical (general)
French term or phrase: micrologette
This appears in a surgical report relating to eye surgery performed on a patient with retinal displacement and retinal tears. This particular part of the document refers to the patient's ophthalmological history.
One of the entries where "logettes" appears clearly links it with oedema.
Here are some instances of the term in the text in question:
« OCT OD atrophie des PR en inféromaculaire qq micrologettes disparues. Image atténuée par la cataracte (…)
OCT OD apparition de micrologettes MEM fine atrophie des PR en inféromaculaire bien visible sur couple verticale (…)
OCT OD disparition des logettes d’œdème apparition du profil fovéal »
The closest I have come is that this is some sort of recess, but I can't be certain.
Many thanks in advance :)

i.e.
this is not normal physiology

but there are tiny/large cavities where there shouldn't be.

hi Liz and DrManu
The explanation I have gone for in my translation (as a translator's note) is sort of an amalgam of both your answers, so this time I am giving Liz the points (I awarded the points for my previous question to DrManu) - only fair as you have both helped me a lot, many thanks.
