example; Some schools are trying to reduce bullying and social cruelty. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2012-12-17 16:47:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- It would be too simplistic to put all of this down to a cultural propensity to defer to bullying bosses. |

bossier Explanation: "威风" has a sense of 'domineering' in the context. As the context is informal, I suggest that you use the comparative form of 'bossy'. This sentence can be the best interpretation of meaning of "威风" in the previous one. |

despotic, autocratic, tyrannical, domineering, formidable, intimidating Explanation: English has lots of words for this. They differ stylistically and in shade and degree of meaning. I think autocratic or tyrannical or domineering would work well here. In other contexts, "grand" or "imposing" would be appropriate. |
