German term or phrase: Nicht traurig sein... es wird alles wieder gut.
The phrase "Nicht traurig sein... es wird alles wieder gut." will be a tattoo on someone's back. I've been asked to provide an English translation, but I'm undecided, as there are a couple of different ways to translate it. I would like to ask my English speaking colleagues to help me out, please. I still believe that only a native speaker of each language should translate into his/her native language.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I think that this is the most accurate translation, even though I wouldn't use any answer as a tattoo. I just wouldn't tattoo it at all to be honest. Thank you.

don't worry, be happy

Explanation:
don't be sad/not to worry, everything will work out just fine/good things come to those who wait
How about leaving it in German? Sometimes sayings in other languages have more of a magical impact, even if we're not 100% sure of what they mean.

Asker: Thanks Jonathan. I would leave it in German, but this person is determined (for whatever reason) to have it tattooed in English.

Explanation:
Sorry, I am not a native. And there is a lot of 'artistic license' in this. But since tattoos are an art form ...

neutral  Helen Shiner: Hmm, rather long-winded suggestions for a tattoo, and not phrased as natives would which only leads to confusion (and more pain than necessary!)./Alright if Dire Straits fan, but song lyrics, like poetry, take particular, unnatural forms, as here.
