Conditional commitment


Explanation:
I think we should make sure of the meaning of this phrase in Persian, rather than offering an equivalent which may have another meaning English. If we use suspended, it may be mistaken with the suspended commitment made by offenders. However, here تعهد معلق may refer to the commitment made in a contract which is conditioned upon a specific occurrence. For example, the obligation of the debtor to pay a certain amount of money is conditional on meeting a certain condition (work completion or occurrence of an event). That is why I believe conditional suits better here.

I think this collocation fits best...the numerous Google examples make total sense in the English context.

I would avoid "commitment" here...virtually all of the Google results with "commitment" refer to "going to prison/jail"

I would also avoid "conditional" here...if we talk about something being conditional, it usually means the conditions are part of the agreement from the beginning...whereas "suspended" means that something which has been ongoing is stopped for some reason. See Google examples.
