Yes, this "o" being the equivalent of "and" makes sense. That's the clue, "o, en cualquier caso," > and in all cases". I mean, that's what should the glossary entry should include, not the conditional clause.

Your rendering "“If a rating is not required, and in all cases for all non-Spanish EU companies, [...]" conveys precisely what I think the source text means. And the punctuation —the whole clause between commas— eliminates any possible ambiguity.

Also, you have expressed it more plainly: a conditional clause starting with "if" is always easier to comprehend than one with inversion starting with "should".

You should post it as an alternative to my answer and give the asker the possibility of choosing it.

As I see it Alejandro, this is a classic example of "o" being used in the Spanish where "and" is used in English. So I understand "o, en todo caso, para" as "and in all cases for", which could be shortened to "and for all" (meaning “applicable to all”). However, contrary to my comment below, having looked at the overall sentence structure, I’d actually use "and in all cases for" along the lines of:

“If a rating is not required, and in all cases for non-Spanish EU companies, the following solvency requirements must be demonstrated by the means set out below.”

Así interpreto yo el significado que aporta "en todo caso", que yo he traducido por "in any event".

When the rating is not required (by x / for purpose x —I suppose), a company must prove its solvency (i.e. solvency muts be proved by either method) or, even if the rating is required, non-Spanish EU companies must prove their solvency (i.e., solvency must be proved by both methods).

Is this reading correct? I may be overreading, since Robert and James agree in the same way of ending the clause.
